Do you ever feel too overwhelmed to deal with your problems? If so, in psychotherapy you can work through these issues and difficulties. I view psychotherapy as a healing process, which may start for many different reasons. People encounter challenges in life which may be too hard to face by themselves. Addressing these difficulties with me will be in a safe, warm, nonjudgmental and supporting environment, where one could feel accepted and understood.
In my work, I have an eclectic approach to psychotherapy; I have a Psychodynamic orientation, while utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Play Therapy with young children. I uniquely tailor the therapeutic process for each individual or family in order to meet their needs.
I offer both in-person sessions in Setauket, NY and online therapy via telehealth for clients throughout New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.
If you have any questions or disorders and issues, please call or e-mail me for further information.
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, leaving you feeling stuck, anxious, or disconnected from the person you want to be. Individual psychotherapy provides a safe, compassionate, and confidential space to unpack your experiences without fear of judgment. Whether you are navigating a difficult life transition, working through past trauma, or simply trying to manage the weight of everyday stress, we will work collaboratively to untangle your thoughts and emotions. Together, we will uncover meaningful insights and develop practical coping tools, empowering you to break unhelpful patterns, heal from past wounds, and move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and self-compassion.
Childhood is often thought of as a carefree time, but children can experience big, complex emotions that they do not yet have the vocabulary to explain. When a child is struggling with anxiety, behavioral shifts, family transitions, or school-related stress, child psychotherapy provides a warm, engaging, and age-appropriate environment for them to process their world. Utilizing evidence-based techniques like play, art, and guided storytelling, I create a safe space where your child can express their inner feelings without the pressure of traditional "talk therapy." Together, we will focus on building healthy emotional regulation and developing effective communication skills, empowering your child to navigate their big feelings, build resilience, and rediscover their natural sense of joy.
The teenage years are a time of incredible growth, but they also bring unique pressures, emotional ups and downs, and complex social challenges that can feel entirely overwhelming. Psychotherapy for teens offers a relatable, confidential, and non-judgmental space where adolescents can safely explore their evolving identities and voice their daily struggles. Whether your teen is battling anxiety, navigating peer conflict, facing academic burnout, or struggling with self-esteem, we will work collaboratively at a pace that feels comfortable for them. By building effective coping skills and fostering emotional regulation, therapy empowers your teen to manage difficult feelings, communicate more clearly, and navigate this transitional chapter with genuine confidence and resilience.
Parenting is undeniably rewarding, but let's be honest: it can also be deeply overwhelming, exhausting, and confusing. Whether you are navigating sudden behavioral challenges, struggling to bridge a communication gap with your teen, or simply feeling burned out by the relentless daily demands of raising a family, parent counseling offers a dedicated, non-judgmental space to regain your footing. Together, we will explore practical strategies to manage conflict, strengthen your family dynamics, and help you reconnect with both your child and yourself — equipping you to parent with greater confidence, patience, and peace of mind.
I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families across a wide range of disorders and issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, low self-esteem, and life transitions. Read common questions about my approach and background →
