Providing Online and In-Person Counseling
Cambridge is home to a dense mix of students, researchers, academics, and young professionals living around Harvard Square, Central Square, Porter Square, and the Somerville border. Life here often means high academic or professional expectations, packed schedules, and the pressure to keep up — even when something underneath feels off.
I'm licensed to provide therapy to clients throughout Massachusetts. Because my practice is based in Setauket, NY, Cambridge sessions are delivered entirely through secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth — no need to travel between labs, libraries, or offices to make it to an appointment.
High-achieving environments come with their own particular strain. The disorders and issues I most commonly work with include:
Academic and performance pressure — demanding coursework, research deadlines, and the stress of high-achieving environments
Anxiety and depression — persistent worry, low mood, and difficulty feeling grounded
Relationship and couples issues — communication struggles and disconnection
Life transitions — starting graduate school, a new job, relocating, or a major change in direction
Parenting challenges — for the growing number of families raising children in and around Cambridge
Burnout — the toll of long hours, high expectations, and never quite feeling caught up
Individual therapy — for adults and teens
Couples therapy — improving communication and rebuilding connection
Family therapy — addressing conflict and improving dynamics within the family system
Child and play therapy — for younger children ages 3 and up
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) — practical, evidence-based tools for anxiety and depression
Trauma therapy — a compassionate approach to healing from difficult experiences
Anxiety — especially performance and academic anxiety — is one of the most common reasons Cambridge clients reach out, whether it shows up as racing thoughts before a deadline or a constant undercurrent of pressure to perform. I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand what's fueling the anxiety and build tools that actually hold up under a demanding schedule. Sessions are entirely online, so care fits around classes, research, or work.
