Providing Online and In-Person Counseling
Boston is a city of distinct, tightly knit neighborhoods — from Back Bay and Beacon Hill to the South End, Jamaica Plain, and Dorchester — filled with young professionals, students, and families building a life in one of the country's busiest cities. Between demanding careers, high-pressure academics, and the cost of city living, it's easy for stress to quietly pile up.
I'm licensed to provide therapy to clients throughout Massachusetts. Because my practice is based in Setauket, NY, all Boston sessions take place by secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth — no commute across the city required.
City life brings its own particular pressures, whatever neighborhood you call home. The disorders and issues I most commonly work with include:
Work and career stress — demanding jobs, long hours, and burnout common in a fast-paced city
Anxiety and depression — persistent worry, low mood, and difficulty switching off
Relationship and couples issues — communication breakdowns and growing distance
Parenting challenges — juggling careers and family, behavioral concerns, and school pressure
Life transitions — a new job, a move, a breakup, or figuring out what's next after a big change
Young adults and students — academic pressure, identity, and the stress of starting out
Individual therapy — for adults and teens
Couples therapy — improving communication and rebuilding connection
Family therapy — addressing conflict and improving dynamics within the family system
Child and play therapy — for younger children ages 3 and up
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) — practical, evidence-based tools for anxiety and depression
Trauma therapy — a compassionate approach to healing from difficult experiences
Anxiety and depression are among the most common reasons Boston clients start therapy — whether it's the pressure of a demanding job, the pace of city life, or a low mood that won't lift. I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand what's driving it and build practical tools you can use day to day. Sessions are entirely online, so there's no added commute on top of an already busy schedule.
